Contact Ministries is a non-profit, Christian based ministry, calling center serving Carter, Greene, Unicoi, and Washington counties for almost 40 years. Contact Ministries was started by the United Methodist Churches in this area. Contact provides these services to our community: crisis intervention, information & referral, and reassurance calls. Contact’s helpline is staffed by local volunteers of all ages and all walks of life. Each volunteer has completed an extensive training program led by area professionals and “on-the-job” training with experienced volunteers. Contact is supported through local United Ways, individuals, businesses and Churches. An extensive training class will commence on Sept 10th and will run through Sept. 12th. We will be providing 20 hours of classroom training conducted by area professionals, and 12 hours of “on-the-job” training. Why not call TODAY to receive more information on how you can make a difference in your community! We need volunteers and this is a golden opportunity for a community Christian mission right in your own backyard.
