Out-Reach
One of the purposes of our church is to provide an environment for winning people to Jesus Christ. Another is to contribute to the relief of world suffering. We make an effort to reach out to others in the communities we live and work in to fulfill part of these purposes. This takes the form of participating in the Ministerial Association of Jonesborough, giving and volunteering to local non-profit organizations who are helping others, and giving to the Methodist Conference which helps by supporting local organizations.
Gail Daffron has been instrumental in leading our Operation Christmas Child campaign for the past several years. Gail has led with such passion and JUMC is blessed to have had her serving in this capacity. Gail will pass the torch to Karen Newell, who will take this opportunity with the same passion and energy.
